The Difference between As-Is System & To-Be system

The As-Is System is the current existing system.
The To-Be system is the desired new system.
There is a gap between the As-Is and the To-Be system.
The role of the system analyst is to define and analyze the problems in the As-Is system and design how to transform the system from As-Is system to the To-Be system.

hello, i am a college student from the Philippines. I am currently doing a project for my computer class and one of the requirements that we have to complete is to find a company that already have a system they are using and is currently considering having a new one. (The concept you have here, which is the as-is system and the to-be system) Can you recommend any companies that have these information that I am looking for? Thank you very much. I hope I can get a reply from you. You can reach me at my email: chixrulz@yahoo.com
