Dr. Charles Tang is a certified IT professional who has been in the field since 1979. Most of the computing expressions are from his working experience. It is hoped that new comers in the field could get more formal practice from reading his articles.
The As-Is System is the current existing system.
The To-Be system is the desired new system.
There is a gap between the As-Is and the To-Be system.
The role of the system analyst is to define and analyze the problems in the As-Is system and design how to transform the system from As-Is system to the To-Be system.
